We are serious about our work. Our career counselors/coaches have a collective 70+ years of directly relevant experience spanning college and university career services, outplacement, online career education, training in corporate and non-profit settings, and executive coaching.

This experience is complemented by our real-world backgrounds in industries including tech, education, social services, engineering, publishing, consulting, nonprofit, and more. We have been talent acquisition specialists, recruiters, business leaders, consultants, technical professionals, teachers, professors, trainers, authors, and scholars.

30+ years of career counseling and coaching experience spanning university career services, corporate outplacement, and web-based career services.

  • Former executive director, Georgia Tech career center (2014-2018). Former career counselor, Barnard College and career development faculty, NYU.

  • Teaches an international continuing education seminar for career counselors/coaches on the topic of anxiety and career development.

  • 13 years with global outplacement firm Right Management. Coached from individual contributors to C-suite. Supervised 100+ career consultants.

Extensive experience with career development situations impacted by neurodiversity (especially Level 1 autism, ADHD, and executive functioning), mental health (particularly anxiety disorders), addiction recovery, gifted clients, and more. Personal family experience with young adults’ therapeutic journeys.

Author of nine published books on careers and job search. Frequent presenter at state, national, and international professional conferences. Associate Editor, Career Convergence magazine (2019-2022); Board Member, Georgia Career Development Association (2019-2021); Newsletter Committee, Maine Career Development Association (2020-2021).

Marcia Wall, MA, CCSP, GCDF

Senior Associate | Career Coach

Marcia brings 20+ years of experience as a coach and college instructor guiding students and young adults to achieve their goals in career transition and job search. She is an NCDA Certified Career Services Provider and Global Career Development Facilitator. Marcia is also certified by Recovery Innovations International to coach people coping with mental illness and/or addiction recovery and has additional training in supporting neurodiverse individuals, as well as a deep commitment to DEIA principles and practices. She is a Certified Career Services Provider through NCDA and has experience with clients from a wide range of backgrounds and industries. Committed to staying up-to-date on the latest job-seeking techniques, Gail is an engaging facilitator who leads classes at North Carolina’s largest community college on LinkedIn, resumes, and interviewing. Avrum Weiss, PhD

Dr. Weiss is a clinical psychologist and practicing psychotherapist who serves in an advisory capacity to the Careers Uncomplicated team. He consults on complex cases in which mental health concerns impede clients’ progress toward career goals. Dr. Weiss is recognized nationally for his pioneering work on the process of change in individuals and organizations and for his specialization in the psychology of men. He is the author of four books and hundreds of articles. His articles for Psychology Today have been viewed by more than two million readers.
